Since 2014 Tonio Gsell leads the engineering lab at TIK, conducts new projects in the field of sensor networks and secures the reliable operation of the technical infrastructure. Prior to that starting in 2009 he has been developing, extending and maintaining a software solution for reliable, loss-less data gathering, remote (automated) controlling and energy saving operation in sensor networks. To be able to support preferably different aspects of research interests, the software has been designed to be as flexible as possible. Tonio Gsell greatly enjoys working in an interdisciplinary research team allowing him to combine his engineering with his alpine skills.
